John Kensett Room is located on the northeast corner of first floor and provides ADA-compatible facilities for guests with limited mobility. Its centerpiece is Kensett’s 18xx painting ____________________. The room’s color palette borrows from understated hues of lavender, blue, and gray. The Kensett Room is separated from the street by a large hedge and affords views on the front lawn and a flower garden from its large, west-facing bay windows.

Worthington Whittredge Room is located on the northwest corner of the second floor. Its centerpiece is Whittredge’s 18XX landscape entitled ___Shandanken Ridge_______________________, and the décor echoes the teal, blue, and green highlights of the painting. The room’s expansive west-facing bay windows afford views on the front yard and a large old maple tree. The room is equipped with a queen-size bed and ensuite bathroom and private closet.

George Inness Room is located on the southwest corner of the second floor. Its centerpiece is Inness’s 18XX scene entitled … , and the green and cream colorations are diffused throughout the room. From its three windows, the room enjoys rich western light at the end of the day and looks out to the front and side yards. The room is equipped with two extra long twin beds and an ensuite bathroom and private closet.

Albert Bierstadt Room is located on the northeast corner of the second floor. Its centerpiece is Bierstadt’s woodland interior scene entitled ……, and the room’s color palette borrows Bierstadt’s subtle shades of green, yellow, and orange. The two windows bathe the room in soft morning light, and afford views on Danskammer’s terrace gardens, village rooftops, and the Hudson River in the distance.

Asher Durand Room is located on the southeast corner of the second floor. Its centerpiece is Asher Durand’s bucolic scene of the Shawangunk ridges entitled “…..”, with the room’s décor highlighting pastoral hues of green, chartreuse, and yellow. The room enjoys an abundance of morning light from its four windows which look out to Danskammer’s terraces, the village center, the Hudson River, and Taconic Mountains.
