All first-floor rooms now enjoy a robust central heating and cooling system. On the second floor, every guest suite incorporates an individually controlled heating and cooling ductless system, as does the big lounge on the third floor. In addition, second-floor bathrooms are now equipped with individually controlled, energy-efficient, supplemental heating units.

Special attention has been given to total environmental systems that allow guests to benefit from the great outdoors: all window are new and really open, and a ceiling fan has been incorporated in all guest suites and many common areas. The property also boasts a whole-house fan that refreshes the entire dwelling with Hudson Valley fresh air, whenever seasonal conditions permit. Inside, adjustable window blinds now welcome or block light depending on the time of day and guest preferences. Outdoors, large sun umbrellas and retractable awnings have been added to shade guests from strong sunlight during the more intense days of summer and fall.
